What to Wear to a Bridal Shower

bridal shower outfits

I’m certainly not a bridal expert but a fun fact that I love to share is that I have been a bridesmaid 10 times. Yes, you read that right. I’ve been in 10 weddings. And you know what the craziest part is? A lot of my closest friends aren’t even married yet! So I like to think that with all of that experience I do have some good insight on what to wear for bridal events.

Picking out what to wear to a bridal shower depends a lot on the bride’s style and the time of year but if you want my opinion (which I assume you do since you’re reading my blog), a dress is always an appropriate choice but the hardest part is knowing what type of dress. Go for something light and flowy but not white and not too revealing so you don’t steal the bride’s spotlight. So if you’re wondering what to wear to a bridal shower, I’ve picked out some options below similar to what I’ve worn to bridal showers in the past.

Links to each dress here:

  1. Red Wrap Dress
  2. Striped Midi Dress
  3. Yellow Maxi Dress
  4. Floral Swing Dress
  5. Pink Velvet Dress
  6. Denim Button Dress
  7. Yellow Floral Dress
  8. Black Floral Jumpsuit

I like wearing outfits to bridal showers that can either be dressed up or dressed down depending on the bride and the venue, and something that I know I can wear for another occasion. For shoes, I’d throw on some earrings and a pair of wedges or sandals and save the high heels and stilettos for the wedding.

Hopefully this helps you know how to dress for a bridal shower whether it’s your first… or your 50th!
